Senior BJP leader and former Deputy Chief Minister, Kavinder Gupta on Wednesday welcomed the announcement by Election Commission of India (ECI) over completion of all necessary preparations for holding Assembly polls in J&K.
The former deputy Chief Minister said that it is highly appreciable that ECI has completed its homework for holding the polls to elect UT Assembly in J&K though security clearance from the Centre is still awaited. He anticipated that security clearance by the Union Government will follow soon as the situation in J&K is promising with terror mongers getting neutralized on regular basis and security forces sanitizing major areas with high morale and exemplary enthusiasm.
The BJP stalwart was speaking after inaugurating a cultural and literary society ‘Navras’ in Jammu today. 
Kavinder Gupta has asked the people to have full faith in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi led Govt at the Centre as it stands fully committed to fulfill the aspirations of all the sections of the society. He made a fervent appeal to people of J&K to support the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the upcoming elections in the Jammu and Kashmir Union Territory to further strengthen the Modi led Govt and its programmes.
After inaugurating the literary society, Kavinder complemented Satish Sharma, former Income Tax Commissioner, for starting the literary society ‘Navras’ in Kammu. 
The senior BJP leader said that such endeavours are necessary to provide needful acumen to the people to make the society more aware and enlightened as the same is necessary in the modern day world. He said that culture of the region showcases the past of the people living in the vicinity and literary pursuits help in enhancing the attributes and quality of life thus both holds significance as far as improving the lifestyle and quality of life is concerned. He said Jammu is culturally very rich and it becomes solemn responsibility of such societies to educate people about their heritage and lineage to ensure development toeing the same old lines which had helped ancestors to live a meaningful life.
Former IAS office Ashok Angurana was the Guest of Honour while Vinay Gupta, She Prabhari BJP Jammu, Raj Bharti Owner Viraj Kala Kender, Sameer Bharti, CA Gandotra, Vijay Saraf, Dr Baljeet Raina, Dr Manjeet, Smt Vijaya Thakur, Smt Santosh Sangra, Dr Yudvir Gupta, Adarsh Gupta, Neeraj Anand, Narender Gupta, Vageesh Sharma were present on the occasion.
